Home education is a legal alternative to school education in Australia. National Awards for Home Educated Web Designer

Seventeen year old, home educated student Joe recently had his design efforts crowned with four national web design awards.
The results of the 6th annual ABP (Australian Business Publishers) Bell Awards were announced at a function on November 30 at Sydney's ANA Hotel, hosted by media personality Ita Buttrose.
The Australian Business Publishers Association (ABP) serves the needs of specialist and business publishers throughout Australia. The ABP Bell Awards serves as an annual event to recognise and reward the achievements of Australia's leading business publishing and media companies.
Australian industry portal, IndustrySearch.com.au, showed outstanding form as clear winner in the following categories:
- Best Business Internet Site of the Year
- Best Directory of the Year (including electronic and print directories)
- Best Advertising Response Component (including electronic and print)
- Subscription Newsletter of the Year
The IndustrySearch website and it's robust publishing engine was designed by Joe's family company, Prime Consulting, who continue to provide ongoing development and maintenance services. Joe has worked on the site since age 14, bearing responsibility for technical design.
It is significant that this is a recurring result being achieved by home educators engaged in real world activities.
Joe is also the HEA's web designer.
